Introduction to Shakespeare 2 Credits
Introduction to Shakespeare/Honors 2 Credits

A course devoted to exploring several aspects of our greatest dramatist—especially the plays’ onstage vitality and their psychological complexity.   The class will read approximately seven plays, including Twelfth Night and Hamlet, and compare the interpretations implied by different productions.  Students regularly experience the link between literary interpretation and actors performing roles.  Written work includes regularly scheduled essays and vocabulary quizzes.
