PREREQUISITE: ACTING 1 OR BY PERMISSION OF THE INSTRUCTOR

Acting 2 builds on the “inside-out” methods covered in Acting 1 and introduces “outside-in” methods to round out a student’s range of techniques. Special emphasis is placed on the Practical Aesthetics method, an approach that emphasizes an imaginative but simple approach to scene and character work. A range of material will be covered, from modern and contemporary playwrights to Chekhov and Shakespeare.  This course is highly recommended for students interested in continuing their work in Acting 1 and/or plan on pursuing theater beyond high school.
