German 1/Honors 4 Credits

NOTE: THIS IS A TWO TRIMESTER COURSE WITH INDEPENDENT WORK REQUIRED. IT COMPRISES THE EQUIVALENT OF NOVICE I AND NOVICE II.

This course welcomes high school students who wish to begin the study of German. It serves as an introduction to German through practice in communications skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. This academically rigorous course is designed for students wishing an accelerated course of study. Students in this course must be highly motivated and self-directed to complete grammatical, vocabulary and cultural materials necessary to pass the oral proficiency test and pass to German Intermediate I. Daily homework is required.
