The Amherst Girls Varsity Team has become a legend. Started seven years ao, the team has won the National Title five years in a row, from 1998 to 2003. In 2004, the girls made it again to the National Championships in Oregon. Sadly, they lost to Yale in the semifinals in a tense game.
