From the West, via Route 9:

Take Route 9 East toward Northampton. To avoid traffic in the center of Northampton, take a left on Bridge Road, opposite Look Park. At the next set of lights, Bridge Road becomes Damon Road, which curves around and meets Route 9 again at the I-91 interchange. Turn left onto Route 9 at the lights. Cross the Connecticut River and continue through the town of Hadley. After the mall areas on your right, and the junction of Route 116 on your left you will pass a Stop and Shop shopping center on your left. Continue straight on into Amherst, heading up the hill. When you reach the lights at the Common (South Pleasant Street), turn left and proceed through the center of Amherst. You will then pass three traffic lights. After the third light, turn right onto Chestnut Street. Go several blocks until you see the Middle School building on your left. Pass the first parking lot and turn left into the next lot. The entrance to the central office for Amherst Regional Public Schools is located near a group of temporary buildings. Inside the building, go to the second door on the left.
