District Goals to be Incorporated into School and Teacher Goals as Appropriate


 Academic

  1. Implement teacher evaluation plan and teacher professional development model
  2. Implement principal/leadership transitions:  ongoing orientation and development
  3. Implement concentrated development on differentiation: year and unit development, instruction, products and assessment to maximize achievement of all learners
  4. Facilitate dialogue and consensus on a culture of achievement that balances high-stakes testing, state/federal accountability, high levels of achievement for all students, a commitment to social justice, and Amherst-Pelham school traditions and culture 

Operational

  1. Complete long term planning scenarios and work of the Schools Organization Committee
  2. Utilize technology solutions to full potential 
  3. Ensure all policies, regulations, protocols, and internal function controls are in place and operational

  1. Implement School Improvement Plan Model with School Councils
  2. Implement all components of contracted agreements with all employee groups

Facilities and Transportation

  1. Design an Air Quality Program district wide

  5. Analyze front door and all door security and make recommendations for change

Student Support Services

  1. Develop model for school wide enrichment

  3. Evaluate building based student support team process
  4. Support and evaluate student success plan completion
  5. Continue program evaluation of Special Education and ELE
  6. Clarify and expand academic interventions

  8. Strengthen coordination/collaboration with outside agencies and service providers

  1. Implement MASBO Financial Operations Review Program

Information Systems

  1. Increase PowerTeacher/PowerGrade use in secondary schools
  2. Increase use and awareness of Parent Portal in secondary schools and begin implementation in elementary schools
  3. Work with Administration to implement standards-based report cards for elementary schools
  4. Create PowerSchool training materials and courses 
  5. Implement online courseware server to support distance learning 
  6. Create and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plan 
  7. Implement department documentation standards
  8. Increase data warehouse profile and use of the data warehouse
  9. Continue to explore server virtualization technology to reduce physical server count and heating and cooling needs
  10. Implement Novell Identity manager to integrate eDirectory and Microsoft Active Directory
  11. Begin research and preparation for SAN upgrade or replacement in Summer ’09 
  12. Work with Human Resources to maintain/update EPIMS
  13. Centralize printer cartridge and projector lamp purchasing and distribution
