Dear Everyone Learning at Amherst, Pelham and Regional Schools:
As the snowfall continues, our February break winds down. The week provided time for our Facilities department to catch up on maintenance and other projects that are best accomplished when school is not in session. A big "Thank you!" goes out to them and our school custodians whose work often occurs behind the scene.
When we return on Monday, we begin a very busy week of meetings and our next round of interviews for elementary and middle school principal positions. The Amherst School Committee and the Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee will meet Tuesday night, February 26, to review the "executive level" (first draft) of their respective school budgets.
Candidates for the principal positions will visit our schools and continue the interview process including parent/community interviews in the evenings. You are invited to attend these sessions and to offer your insights on the candidates (the schedule for the elementary candidates' visits is attached). This is one of many components of the process.
