The Grace Episcopal Church is located in Amherst, MA, in the center of town. If you ever wanted to park near the church though  you might have a hard time finding a spot because there are not many parking spaces. Back when it was built in 1868 though Amherst was not as crowded.  But there is also an advantage to its location. It is right in front of the Amherst Common, where you could have a great picnic or meal.

The Reverend Daniel Huntington suggested the name "Grace Episcopal Church", on March 2, 1868.

In front of the church there is special tree. Colonel William S. Clark brought the Katsura tree from Japan. He brought this tree back It was planted here in 1877.Dr. Frederick Tuckerman is quoted as saying "If the Rectory ever caught on fire he hoped that every effort will be made to save the tree, even if the building had to be sacrificed

The Rectory was connected to the church by an extension and a door in the back of the church. A large parish hall was built to the east side of the church.
