Shays Rebellion- Different Court Closings
There were many court closings.
On September 12, a debtors court in Taunton was closed by 500 regulators. Also, on that same day a debtors court in Great Barrington was closed by 800 men. In Worchester a debtors court was closed on September 5th by 500 regulators.
In 1782, Hampshire County petitioned the general court. Six days after the Hatfield convention, Luke Day led a group of Rebels to close a court in Worchester.
