Emily Dickinson was born on December 10th 1830. When she was young, Emily would go out of the house. She attended the Amherst Academy and went on outings with her parents. She was like a regular child. As she got older she started only staying in her house and wearing white dresses. That is when she became a poet. She wrote many poems, though less than twelve of her poems were published when she was alive. Now a lot of her poems are published. One of her most famous poems is I Am Nobody Who Are You.
