What People Did to the Statue and Why
This is what the Amherst College students did to the Amazone statue. The students cracked the statue with hammers. The students also painted it with white enamel, the hardest paint to remove. They did this because they didn't feel like it was right for a woman to have so much power. The students couldn't move it so they just wrecked it. That is what people did to it and why.
