What is the Style?

The Evergreens, home of Austin and Susan Dickinson, has an Italianate style. Italianate style means the house has square towers, round arch windows, double-leafed doors or church-shaped doors. The roofs are flat and slanted. Some features hanging off the house were overhanging eaves. There are stairs and brackets. Villas are usually 2 stories high and have cupolas too. Balconies, terraces, porches and verandas are all platforms attached to Villas. The Italianate style is very interesting and I hope you agree with me.
