The Women's Club Membership
The Women's Club has been around since the late 1800's. In the many years that they have been an organization they have been lucky enough to hold their meetings in the Hills House. Since 1923 when they first moved into the house they have held many activities with at least 100 members at a time or more.
The Women's Club was formed in 1893 to " foster the interest of it's members in literacy, Scientifics, musical, historical, and other important topics to contribute to the welfare of the community."
The club holds meetings two times every month, and invites interesting speakers to entertain the members. Each year the club holds a scholarship benefit. They raise money for two scholarships that will be given to two students of the Amherst Regional High School. They also hold holiday dinner parties and arts and crafts fairs.
