The House in Use
The Club is using the house more and it has been rented for other activities. Since 1931 classes from Amherst College have rented the house for their reunion headquarters. From 1925-1934 the club members had rummage sales, food sales, card parties, gave plays, had a fair, and benefit movies to help pay off the note.
They have left use of the house open to the War Service Committee, colleges, weddings, receptions, recitals and much more. Any organization is able to rent out the house for receptions or meeting purposes. The club still finds the house pleasant for many activities and the house will continue to be a memorial to the Hills family and all the members of the Women's Club who have helped in its support.
There are apartments on the second floor. They are rented out to single people or couples. The extra cupboards upstairs are used for storage purposes.
