Jones Library Reflection by Ewon
When I first learned that we were going to the Jones Library to do the Amherst History Projects, I was honestly bored. I mean, how many times had I been in the library before? I wasn't going to learn anything new. But how wrong I turned out to be.
To start out with, I had never even heard of Mr. Charles Green. At the library we were able to find a lot of fascinating information about him. (For information go to page "First Director"). And the Special Collections Room? I had never been in there either. Usually, I visited the library to check out books and audiovisuals, but this trip was totally different. I learned the history of the Jones Library, which was also very interesting. Okay, so you get my point, I really enjoyed the trip. But the real cool part was when we got to make the web pages. My partners and I had a great time designing and putting the web page together. And we are finally able to present it to you! We welcome your comments and questions. Thank you for visiting our Jones Library web page, and for reading my reflection.
Reflection Page
When my visited the Jones Library, I thought this Amherst history project wasn’t going to be exciting. I thought what is there to learn it’s only a Library that only Amherst public knows about but it didn’t turn to be truth. The library was known by president JFK. So then it occurred me that if the president had visited it then why not other famous people so now it was exciting. We visited the special collection room and the back stage which I never knew about. The collection room had some important items of Emily D, Robert Frost and other about other important people. I suppose that Jones Library wasn’t only but too museum of famous people. So we also visit a museum mostly. According to what know I think we have the best library.

I really liked working on the Jones Library project. I was able to see an entire room I hadn't seen before. It was really thrilling to be able to not only see but touch some of the many things they had stored in that room. Researching about Charles Green was a lot of fun. I actually got to touch his calendar. It was from the year 1922! This project was a lot more fun than it sounds. Experiencing it first hand was amazing. Thanks for reading my reflections on my trip to the Jones Library.
