I THOUGHT THE FIELD TRIP WASN’T VERY INTERESTING. NOT THAT I’M SAYING I DIDN’T LEARN A WHOLE LOT ABOUT THE JONES AND THE TOWN OF AMHERST; I THOUGHT THE TRIP TO THE MOSQUE WAS BETTER. I DID HOWEVER, ENJOY THE TOUR THROUGH THE BUILDING AND THE SLIDE SHOW AT THE BEGINNING. I ENJOYED THE TOUR OF THE BUILDING FOR ONE OF TWO REASONS: THE TOUR TOOK US ON A BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK AT THE PART OF THE LIBRARY NO ONE GETS TO SEE AND LET US MEET SOME OF THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED IN IT. ALSO BECAUSE WE GOT TO VISIT THE SPECIAL COLLECTIONS AREA WHERE NOT ONLY DO YOU NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO GET I BUT A PERSON FROM THE LIBRARY HAS TO GO WITH YOU.
THIS FIELD TRIP WASN'T THE MOST INTERESTING FIELD TRIP I EVER HAD BUT I LEARNED A LOT OF INTERESTING INFORMATION THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE LEARNED ELSEWHERE.
ALTHOUGH THE FIELD TRIP HALF OF THE JONES LIBRARY PROJECT WASN’T VERY FUN, I THOUGHT THE COMPUTER PART WAS THE BEST PART OF IT. MAYBE IT WAS BECAUSE I LOVE TO BE ON THE COMPUTER, BUT I LEARNED A WHOLE LOT MORE ABOUT THE JONES BY LISTENING TO THE PRESENTATIONS THAT DIFFERENT PEOPLE MADE RATHER THAN LEARNING ONLY ABOUT MY OWN SUBJECT.
SOME OF THE PEOPLE IN OTHER GROUPS WERE NOT HAPPY WITH WHO THEY GOT PUT WITH. I HOWEVER GOT PUT WITH MY FRIENDS AND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH WHO I GOT TO WORK WITH. I THINK WHO WE WORKED WITH MADE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR PROJECTS.
OVERALL, THE PROJECT WAS FUN, ALTHOUGH THE FIELD TRIP WAS DISAGREEABLE, AND I WOULD GLADLY DO IT AGAIN BUT PROBABLY IN A COUPLE YEARS!
I think that the field trip to the Jones library was kind of fun but kind of boring. I thought that it was kind of fun because we got to see the crystal chandelier and the other important stuff that other people don't get to see. But on the other hand the field trip was boring because we really didn't get any chance to see other parts of the library. I think that when we were at the library we should have got a chance to check out books. I also think that they should have given us something for us to remember about the Jones library. We really didn’t learn that much about the renovations of the Jones Library because we didn’t get that much information we only have a little bit. That’s why we don’t have that much on the answers to the questions. I think that the webpage that we made was fun because we got to make our own web page so other people/kids can look and research about what the need to know about the Web page on the renovations.
Nicole’s Reflection
The trip to the Jones Library was fun. We got to go to the special collection’s area and hardly anyone can go there. We saw a lot of pictures and got to take a lot of pictures. We got to go to places that I’ve never seen in the library. We learned a lot of the Jones history and took a tour. The specials collection’s was cool and big. There was a lot of information, pictures, and old newspapers about the Jones. We got to see parts of the Jones I didn’t even know was there. The Jones is a very big library and has a lot of rooms. The library was made a while back and has a lot of information. The Jones has a lot of places to get information from. The tour was fun because we saw a lot of the Jones. We got to go upstairs and downstairs to the basement. We also found out that in the specials collections area the there is a window that was moved around twice. The trip to the Jones was fun and enjoying. I found out a lot of information and hope to visit the Jones again.
