REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES RELATING TO THE OPERATIONS OF THE SCHOOLS 65
Distribution of Materials to Students through the Elementary Schools
In order to provide information to students and families concerning extra-curricular and enrichment activities that are available in Amherst, Pelham, Leverett and Shutesbury, a quarterly booklet of flyers will be published through the Superintendent's Office and will be distributed to students through the schools on a quarterly basis. The following conditions will apply:
- Flyers will be subject to approval by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
- Flyers must indicate that the activity/service is not a school-sponsored event.
- Flyers must be one-sided and print-ready.
- Flyers will be positioned in the booklet at the discretion of the Superintendent or his/her designee.
- Each flyer must be accompanied by a $60 processing fee, payable at the time of receipt of flyer
The booklet of flyers will be distributed in the first week of the month as follows:
September covering the months of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec (Deadline - August 10th)
December covering the months of Jan, Feb (Deadline – November 10th)
March covering the months of March, April, May, June (Deadline – February 10th)
June covering the months of July, August (Deadline – May 10th)
The deadline for publication will be the 10th of the month prior to distribution. From time to time, the Superintendent may authorize the distribution of flyers through the schools for agencies of the Town of Amherst.
