PREREQUISITE: EITHER 2-D OR 3-D FOUNDATIONS OF ART
This course will enable students to pursue painting techniques and styles in an in-depth manner and will include working from observation, imagination and reproduction. Understanding painting techniques and color theory will be stressed through weekly sketchbook assignments and ambitious long term projects. Students will use acrylics, tempera and watercolors and paint on a variety of surfaces, such as paper, canvas and panel.
