This course will introduce students to the unique art form of stained glass. Beginning with a small suncatcher, students will learn the basics of pattern-making, glass cutting, copper foiling and soldering. More complex projects will follow, including a large suncatcher and mirror design or mosaic. If time permits, students will make a three-dimensional candle holder or vase. As students gain confidence and an understanding of the medium they will be encouraged to create their own designs for their projects.
