THIS COURSE MAY BE TAKEN FOR LITERATURE CREDIT.

In this course students independently read and analyze play scripts outside the classroom, with selections that span the tradition of dramatic writing.  Class meetings usually include performance exercises, rehearsed and improvised, individual and partnered - the emphasis is on group creativity.  Students also compile an observation log, based on every day behaviors they witness around them.  Core plays read in class may include Antigone, The Seagull, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and a Shakespearean play.
