LAB SCIENCE COURSE
PREREQUISITE: CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT IN ALGEBRA II/HONORS, IMP III HONORS, OR EQUIVALENT
This course provides a framework of chemical principles and applies mathematical methods to chemistry. The topics included in Chemistry will be covered in greater depth in Chemistry/Honors. In addition, concepts in kinetics, equilibrium, and thermodynamics will be studied. Students should be able to solve multi-step problems and analyze data graphically, mathematically, and verbally. Independent work is required; significant out-of-class reading and study time is expected. Evaluation will consist of tests, problem sets, lab activities, and formal lab reports.
Note: Sophomores enrolled in Algebra II are also eligible to take honors Chemistry in their sophomore year.
