Welcome to ARHS 9th Grade Science!
Ecology / Environmental Science 9 is the product of four years of planning by the ARHS Science Department. As the foundation of our four-year sequence it delivers biological, chemical, and physical science content in a mathematically rich, inquiry-driven context. The course also teaches students how to write formal scientific papers, investigate global phenomena, and utilize data collected on their local landscape.

The program received national recognition in its first year, when we were awarded a $5000 competitive grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation, and were identified as one of 16 U.S. schools serving as a national model for how to infuse environmental content into high school curricula.
