This class offers students the opportunity to learn the basics of camera operation, sound, lighting and editing as they produce 5-6 audio and/or video assignments.  The focus of this class is the use of technology (camcorders, sound mixers, lighting, microphones and editing stations), planning, scriptwriting, content and industry standards.  All work is completed in groups of 2-4 students depending on the complexity of the assignment and availability of equipment.  This class will require some outside of class time for homework, filming and/or editing.  Grading for this class considers quizzes, script writing,  on task time, care and safe use of the equipment, the class notebook, group project grades and individual grades for contributions to the group project.  About 70% of the time in this class is activity or lab based.
