Course Description

Wood Technology III and IV 524B 2 Credits

PREREQUISITE: WOOD TECHNOLOGY I AND II

This course is designed for the serious Wood Technology student who might be thinking of related careers. We will be exploring career paths in the fields of Wood Technology and Forestry.  The course will be project-based and will focus on the building of a portfolio for application presentation to post-secondary schools and workplaces.  Projects will include timber frame construction, architectural design, instrument making, lumber retailing, forestry, boat building and wood technology testing.  We will also work on a research project of the student’s choice. There is a $10 materials fee for this class.
