College Admission Statistics for the Class of 2011

The following information pertains to only those students who received ARHS diplomas (graduates) on June 10. It does not include students who received certificates or who will graduate at the end of the summer. Complete information on summer 2011 graduates will be included in the 2011-12 ARHS Profile.

TOTAL: 296 graduates in the class of 2011.

Class Statistics by Race

Total African-American Students: 25 graduates in the class of 2011 (9% of class);

23 (92%) will enroll in educational institutions:

Of the 17 attending 4-year colleges:

One African-American graduate will work and one will participate in Americorp.

Total Asian Students: 22 graduates in the class of 2011 (8% of class)

19 (86 %) are collegebound:

Of the 13 attending 4-year colleges:

Three Asian students will relocate internationally (Korea, Japan and Canada) and will attend a four-year college ASAP. This will change the percentage of Asians attending a 4- year college to 73%.

Total Hispanic students: 26 graduates in the class of 2011 (10% of class)

23 (88%) are college-bound:

Of the 12 students attending 4-year colleges:

The 3 Hispanic students not attending college will work.

Total multi-racial or Native-American students: 17 graduates in the class of 2011 (6% of class);

15 (88%) are college-bound:

Of the 14 attending 4-year colleges:

Total Caucasian students: 179 graduates in the class of 2011 ( 67% of class)

165 (92%) will enroll at post-secondary institutions:

Of the 148 attending 4-year colleges

Of the 14 white graduates who will not be attending college or post-secondary schools, one is enrolled in Cosmetology school, four will be taking a Gap Year before applying to college, and nine will be working

Total Females: 132 (49% of graduates)

Total females attending college: 122 (92% of female graduates)

Total Males: 137 (51% of graduates)

Total males attending college: 119 (87% of male graduates)
