Get all application materials and information from the college to which you plan to apply. Check filing dates. Check all rules that apply to your school. (For example, some schools do not automatically defer students to their regular admissions pool, if they are not selected under an early program.)
If you have not yet done so, schedule a campus visit as soon as possible and an interview, if appropriate.
Turn in a completed conference questionnaire to the Guidance Office (Room 107) NOW and let us know in the Guidance Office of your intention to apply early. Give us the institution's name and the due date for the application.
Check to see if all required recommendations are on file in the Guidance Office. If they are not, see your teachers immediately and let them know you are applying early and that your recommendations are needed in the Guidance Office.
If you haven't already done so, please schedule an appointment with Carlene Riccelli to review your plans, due dates, etc. She will need to meet with you prior to October 15th, if possible. Appointment slots are filled up quickly, so bring in your questionnaire today!
Be sure all necessary testing (SAT I/II) will be completed on time. Most schools receive October test results in time. Plan to "Rush" scores from November testing, if necessary. It is your responsibility to send your SAT scores directly to the college.
Submit the following sections of your application to the Guidance Office by October 1st:
Fill out the top portion of each neatly (type, if possible).
Plan to attend the Early Decision/Early Action Workshop on Monday, October 4th at 2:30 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: You can mail your section of the application (the part with your personal data, check, essay, etc.) directly to the college. Just make sure it arrives on time. Colleges are strict about early decision applications.
