Dear ARHS Parents and Guardians,

At 8:53 this morning, our main office received a bomb threat via a phone call.

We assessed the threat and, based on the information in hand, decided to evacuate the entire building. We did so by sounding the fire alarm.

The Amherst Police Department conducted a search of both the building and the entire school grounds.

Nothing suspicious was found and, at 10:02, an all-clear was called and students were readmitted to the building.

The police are actively investigating all leads.

I will be available today at 5:30 pm in our library to address questions or concerns.
