Dear Parents and Guardians:
This is a follow-up to the letter you received from Mr. Jackson about the arrest and suspension of Mr. Garney. Mr. Jackson’s letter has more general information about the situation. This letter is specifically for students who were in Mr. Garney’s first trimester Earth Science classes.
We want to assure you that your student’s final project will be graded by teachers in the ARHS Science Department. All work turned in will be graded and included in students’ final grades for the trimester and the course. Final grades for the course will be calculated by science teachers and will be included on students’ report cards.
Any work that has not been turned in may be turned in by Friday, December 1. Work may be turned in to the science office in room 218 or to the main office.
It is important that students turn in their books. Most students should return their books during the exam period. If not, students should bring their books to the Science office in room 218.
If you have questions about work or grades from the Earth Science class, please e-mail or call Ms. McCarthy, Department Head for Science.
We want to make sure that each student is well and supported. If you have concerns about your student’s well-being or experience in school, please do not hesitate to call your student’s guidance counselor. The guidance office can be reached at 362-1720.
If you have other questions about the situation, please consider attending the public forum tonight, Wednesday, November 29 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. You may also call or e-mail Mr. Jackson or Mr. Wehrli with questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
|
Bill Wehrli Assistant Principal 362-1722 |
Mary McCarthy Department Head, Science 362-1777 |
