This is a difficult message to communicate, but this morning, at a bus stop in the vicinity of Mark’s Meadow, a two or three year old child was fatally injured in an accident involving a school bus. 

The accident is currently being investigated by the Amherst Police Department.  Later today, when more information becomes available, the district will send out a Connect Ed announcement – via both email and voice mail - to update you about this incident. 

All children at Mark’s Meadow are in class at this time and the district is planning to provide whatever support may be necessary.

If, for any reason, in response to this news, you need support, please ask an adult for a pass to the guidance office.
