"Leadership is knowing what you want and making it happen" Miriam Colon

              Latinos Unidos main purpose is to bring together all of the
       Latino students in our high school to discuss, plan, and organize
       events and by ensuring that our voices are heard. To raise
       consciousness about what it feels like to be a Latino in our community.
       To help overcome the sense of powerless that we often feel
        in the face of injustice and to find the circle of strength that exists in our community.
      

            "Our goal is not just to enlighten the school but also the Amherst Community, about      the various Latin Cultures and backgrounds that make up our student body."
