Outing Club will hold a general meeting this Wednesday, Nov 26, after school in room 225. See pictures from fall trips and hear about planned Winter activities, including sledding and building a snow cave! New members are welcome.

Attention Russian Essay Contest Participants: The contest will take place next Monday, November 24 at 7:45 am in the language lab. Neither fluff, nor feather!

Today in the GSA, we’ll be talking about the issues, injustices, and history surrounding Proposition 8, a measure that recently passed in California which overturned the right for gay and lesbian couples to marry. All are welcome: we’d love to hear your input! Come to room 175 at 2:30. We’ll also be planning activities, including several awesome movies!

A Meditation Group - We will hold a meditation session today, Monday, from 2:30 - 3:30 in rm. 174 after all. Meditating is listening to the silence and stillness within. It is a way of getting to know oneself. You can come late or leave early. All are welcome. Ms. Pienkawa.

Seniors: Check the e-mail address that you provide to your colleges every

day. They will use it to communicate with you when they need to. Don’t be

denied admission because you didn’t respond to messages from the college

about your application.

Any student who has not returned their Ecology textbook to Mr. Davidson should bring them to him in room 227. Unreturned textbooks will be subject to a Lost Book Fine.

"Open your eyes to Africa." The O Ambassadors Club and the African Scholars Program will meet on Monday, November 24th after school in room 146. We will be talking about our upcoming cultural and educational event. Meeting is mandatory for all club advisors. New members are always welcome. See you all there.

Gospel Choir Members : We have a rehearsal today in the choral room at 2:30. Please be on time and ready to sing. This is a mandatory rehearsal. New members are always welcome. See you there

Chorale Members: Don’t forget our concert Dress Rehearsal tonight at 6:50 at the church. See you there!

Library News: The library will be closed during classes Monday through Wednesday, as we will be in the process of getting all the books in order for the trimester. We will, however, be open before school Monday through Wednesday and after school on Monday and Tuesday. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Do you have old or worn out soccer equipment you could donate to poor kids in Sierra Leone? A kid that Mr. Hanson used to coach in Cambridge is collecting soccer balls, cleats and shin-guards to give away to poor kids when he visits his grandparents in Sierra Leone in Africa over the Winter Holidays. If you can imagine a poor kid being able to use it, even if it’s pretty worn out, please bring it to Mr. Hanson in Room 200 - - Thank you!

All students interested in participating in the JETS engineering competition this spring, come to our first meeting, Tuesday at 2;30 in Room 223. If you can’t make it, please email Ms. Blauner (blaunerp@arps.org) before the meeting

Wednesday, November 26th, is "Baby Formula Day." The Class of 2011 is doing a Community Service Drive for Jesse’s House, which is a local Amherst shelter. If you are out at a store and feel inclined, please pick up a container of baby forumula for our drive. The donation box is in front of the Guidance Office. Thank you!
