How did Americans create a government based on democratic ideals?  How have they transformed that government to better reflect changing interests, needs, and values?

This week we will view skits explaining HOW and WHY individual English colonies were founded.  Later in the week, students will begin to create their own colonial characters.

Colony Skits will be performed starting on Monday (C, E, F) and Tuesday  (B).  Rehearse your part, prepare your props, and be prepared for presentations.

Meet a few teens who sit on death row.  Along the way we'll try a few research skills such as: paperless notes, previewing, adjusting reading rate, running an effective search, and skim/scan.

All work is done in class.
