How did the
contradiction of slavery and other sectional differences lead to
civil war? How did the struggle for opportunities continue after the
war? This week we will examine sectional differences in the early and mid-1800s(differences in the economy and daily life between the North and the South). |
Manifest Destiny Papers are being handed back this week (Tuesday for
E, Wednesday for F, Thursday for B and C classes). Please
review the peer feedback and teacher comments. Papers are due
back (for portfolios) one week later. Challenge projects have been handed out and are due May 29. Students interested in viewing an episode of the PBS documentary We Shall Remain for their Challenge Project can stream episodes at home or stay after school on Tuesday, 5/12 (Tecumseh's Vision) or Tuesday, 5/19 (Trail of Tears) |

This week we continue our study of Motion, Force, and Energy.
In this unit we will be using principles of engineering design to build and observe things which move. Homework will pull from a new text book (Motion, Forces, and Energy,) and will ask us to review key ideas from the strands of the Mass Science Frameworks mcas we have studied in middle school. (Life Science, Physical Science, Engineering Technology) |
