This week we will examine the policies of the U.S. government as they applied to specific cultural groups.

Manifest Destiny papers are being graded.  If you have not handed in your paper yet, please do so as soon as possible; you are losing 10 points per class day.

Challenge projects have been handed out and are due May 29.

This week we continue our study of Motion, Force, and Energy.

In this unit we will be using principles of engineering design to build and observe things which move.

Homework will pull from a new text book (Motion, Forces, and  Energy,) and will ask us to review key ideas from the strands of the Mass  Science Frameworks mcas we have studied in middle school. (Life Science, Physical Science, Engineering Technology)

- identifying Coming of Age experiences in literature

- plot structure and organization

looking at the changing relationship with adults when we come of age

This week's homework will be Coming of Age narrative readings in America Street. There will be reading quizzes daily.
