Notice Regarding MCAS and Passover
MCAS is beginning March 23 for 7th grade and March 30
for 8th grade. When planning the dates of MCAS testing,
we inadvertently missed that Passover begins at sunset
on May 29. We are sorry for this oversight. We have been
working for the past week trying to see if there is a change
that we can make in the MCAS schedule, but were
unsuccessful. We will be having ELA testing on Tuesday,
May 30 and Wednesday, May 31 as planned. We do not
expect that students participating in Passover to be present
for testing on the days of their religious observance. We
have MCAS make up dates scheduled for April 1, April 5
and April 6. We will be observant of the Passover dates
when we plan next year’s MCAS dates.
