We welcome you to join us for a presentation for parents and guardians by Jessica Minahan, M.Ed., BCBA on Reducing Anxiety in Kids.  Ms. Minahan is working with our district personnel and we would like to extend this learning opportunity to our families and larger community.  The presentation will be on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm in the ARHS Library.  An announcement will be sent out as the school year begins but we wanted to give advance notice so all could mark their calendars. Hurricane Open 2018

The Hurricane Open is a great way to enjoy an afternoon of golf and more while helping Amherst High School Athletics. The cost to play is $160/per person $640/ per team. Pre-Register before Aug 20th $135/per player and $540/ per team using the form below. The open is played at one of the area's finest local courses, Hickory Ridge Golf Club, and includes 18 holes, cart, prizes, lunch and "cook out" dinner to follow. As the 2017-2018 school year officially came to a close, many staff and students started a summer break of fun, rest and relaxation, but this was not the case for everyone.

The renovations of Summit Academy’s new location commenced on the very next day.  During the hot humid days of summer, the dedicated and skillful Facilities Team, were hard at work demolishing, reconstructing, hauling, cleaning, painting and moving.  They have created an incredible new space for our faculty, students and their families and staff. So, how did our school get its name “Summit Academy?"  It was derived from the location of our school, in particular its location next to the Mt. Holyoke Range. With the name change, our school undertook a school challenge to hike local mountain ranges in the Pioneer Valley and to reach the summit of those mountains.
