Congratulations to our local geography experts: SolomonRueschemeyer-Bailey, Jonathan Hosea, and Gareth Barr,  who participatedin the Massachusetts Geography Bee, open to only 100 students statewide.

The three students had emerged as their school champions in thisyear's school level GeoBees, held in January.  Solomon is in 6th gradeat Wildwood, Jonathan is in 6th grade at Fort River, and Gareth is a 7thgrader at ARMS. Statewide, each school champ took a  written test, inan attempt to qualify for the state bee, and these Amherst students wereamong the top 100 scorers in the state. ... Read More
