Sixth graders explored the question "How Does Social Change Happen?" through a Panel Discussion on Youth Activism this afternoon. The panel was led by two student moderators and the panelists provided insight from their collective wealth of organizing experience. Thank you to our panelists from The Sunrise Movement @sunrisenorthampton , The Student Strike for Climate @climatestrikema , The Turn it Around Campaign @TurnItAroundCtn , plus Congressman James McGovern @jimmcgovernma and @montebelmonte .

ARMS eighth grader, Cameron Gray-Lee was among the top 100 scorers in Massachusetts on a qualifying online test from the National Geographic Society.  He advanced to the exam after passing through several qualifying rounds at school.  The photograph includes ARMS social studies teachers and the students who represented their teams in a school-wide qualifying round.  Read more in an article published in the Daily Hampshire Gazette, "The World at Their Fingertips: Local Students Prep for State Geography Bee," by Greta Jochem, 3/27/2019.
