"Coffee with the Superintendent" to Begin on Friday, March 19

Interim Superintendent Maria Geryk has announced her first "Coffee with the Superintendent" to be held on Friday, March 19 at 1:30 pm in her office at 170 Chestnut Street.  This will be an opportunity to meet with the superintendent to ask questions and to hear more about her vision for the future of our school district.  All members of the community are welcome to attend the coffee, which will be co-hosted by the ARMS Family School Partnership. Cathy Cullen, ARMS Family School Partnership Co-Chair, expressed excitement that the Superintendent is having these coffees. "To me, this shows Maria Geryk's desire to reach out to the community and her commitment to two-way communication.  I hope that parents/guardians will take this opportunity to learn about her views and share their own ideas.  It is a very positive way for the district to move forward."

In an effort to hear from many different constituencies within the community, Coffee with the Superintendent will be held on a bi-weekly basis.  Ms. Geryk plans to hold these events in a variety of locations and at varying times of the day in order to accommodate family schedules and to make attendance as convenient as possible.  Suggestions or requests for potential locations are welcomed.  To share suggestions, please contact Debbie Westmoreland, Assistant to the Superintendent, at westmorelandd@arps.org or by phone at 362-1823.
