Distribution of Cuts

There is no particular formula for recommending cuts, though we recognize that the Middle School educates about 1/3 of the students and the High School about 2/3 of the students. In Central Office, where most staff are shared among the three districts, each position was carefully reviewed and considered for further consolidation. Wherever possible, position cuts were and are achieved through attrition. All district expense accounts were carefully scrutinized and consideration was given to current and projected enrollments at the Middle and High Schools.
