FIRST GRADE PLAY DOUGH RECIPE

Kate Hersey uses this recipe for the play dough handwriting station in the first grade classroom. Several students and parents have asked for the recipe, so here it is.
3 cups flour
1 ½ cups salt
6 Tablespoons of Oil
2 Tablespoons of Cream of Tartar
3 cups water with food coloring in it.

 

Mix all together and cook on medium/low stirring constantly
so it doesn’t burn until it makes a ball. Knead when cool.
Store in an airtight container, and it will last several weeks.
