Principal: Lisa Desjarlais

Lisa Desjarlais was appointed Principal of Pelham Elementary School in June, 2010.   Prior to this she served as Assistant Principal at Wildwood School in the Amherst School  District. Before assuming this role, Ms. Desjarlais worked as an elementary school teacher for 16 years. Her career in education began in 1993 and included participation in an award-winning language-based inclusion program at Mosier Elementary School.  Ms. Desjarlais holds Massachusetts certification in the areas of Elementary Principal, Elementary K-6,  and Special Education. Prior to working in the field of education, she worked for ten years in the mental health field.  She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Human Services from the University of Massachusetts, Master degree in Special Education from Westfield State University, and CAGS in Elementary Principal  from Westfield State University. Ms. Desjarlais lives in South Hadley with her family.
