ARMS Science Class Featured in Teaching Tolerance Magazine

ARMS students and teacher Jennifer Welborn are featured in the summer issue of Teaching Tolerance, a national publication of the Southern Poverty Law Center.  The article describes how students examine issues of social justice in the science classroom.

ARHS Teacher Sharon Palmer Receives Chemistry Teaching Award

ARHS Science teacher Sharon Palmer has been awarded the 2013 High School Teacher Award by the Connecticut Valley Section of the American Chemical Society.  The regional award is given annually to a high school teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to chemical education at the secondary level.

ARHS Senior Named Semi-Finalist in Intel Science Talent Search

ARHS senior Shohini Kundu is one of 11 Massachusetts students to be named a semi-finalist in the Intel Science Talent Search for 2013 for her presentation on the use of sedimentary analysis to reconstruct geologic history.

Fort River School Celebrates Dr. Seuss

On March 1st, the Fort River School Community celebrated the 109th birthday of Dr. Seuss by having members of our community come into the school to read their favorite Dr. Seuss story.

ARHS Seniors, Staff Honored at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast

At the 29th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast and Awards Ceremony, ARHS seniors Ana Sofia Semedo and Regina East received the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarships, while ARHS staff members Mary Custard and Momodou Sarr were honored with the Norma Jean Anderson Civil Rights and Academic Achievement Award. 

ARHS Music Students Named to All-Eastern Honors Ensembles

Three ARHS music students have been selected to participate in the 2013 All-Eastern Honors Ensembles from the National Association for Music Education. This biennial festival is made up of top music students from Maryland and D.C. to Maine.

ARPS Named to AP District Honor Roll for 2012

The College Board has selected Amherst Regional Public Schools for the 3rd Annual AP District Honor Roll, in recognition of the district's success in simultaneously increasing access to Advanced Placement course work while also increasing the achievement of students on the exam.

FBLA Students Honored for Philanthropic Work
