Standard A.8: Uses information in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to plan strategies for integrating students with disabilities into general education classrooms.

 Introductory Statement

This is an example of class notes that are taken during class.  I usually have a copy on the overhead while I discuss the topic with the class.  They fill in blanks and answer questions during this process.  I use this format approximately twice a week to help students with their foundations.

Sometimes students need notes written down for them, so I like to print a copy of the notes for the student, leaving a few blanks for them to complete.  This helps all students with organization, and meets the needs of many students with IEPs.

Notes: "Representing Systems"

 Reflective Statement

This standard is always a challenge because there are so many types of students with various extra needs.  I do a good job of universalizing lessons to fit all needs, but I am still improving at preparing the students on IEP's for assessments.

One thing I could do to prepare these students is have them give me a list of things that they think would help them on the tests.  Then I could accommodate for their needs that way.
