In Computer Programming I, students learn how to write their own computer programs by working individually on a series of lab activities. They spend several weeks working on a project of their own design.

• Welcome to Computer Programming! Set up a password for our progress tracking system
• Log In to the student progress tracking system (for term 2 students; do this once you have a password)
• Term 1 students: I will let you know when things are graded

Why Study Computer Programming?

Computer programming is part of a field of study known as computer science, which has a wide variety of applications in many different fields.

• Watch videos to see what computer scientists are accomplishing in the real world
• Learn more about careers that use computer science

• TYPE Lab -- optional; could be very helpful for your project
• Additional Keywords--extra things not covered in the labs that could come in handy for your project
• Troubleshooting Guide--what to do when banging your head on the table doesn’t seem to help
• Challenge Problems-- a chance to display your programming prowess!
