Open
the Greeting Template in the Library folder and follow directions.
Use
the ruler guides to create margins that are 1/4”.
When
you are finished with the card, save it in the Finished Greeting
folder as your last name.
Grading
Rubric:
Text
manipulation (15%). You must use type along a path or change text
into outlines and manipulate the shapes in a creative way. Make
sure your fonts are expressive and creative. Emphasize important
words using the techniques you learned about with the Mission
Statement project.
Artwork
(50%). The card must include at least two illustrations. These
illustrations may be traced, but may not be rasterized (no pixels).
To make your artwork look three dimensional, use color gradients.
Logo
(10%). Design a logo for your own greeting card company (Gao Greetings,
Clark Card Co., etc.) on the back of the card. The logo can be
no larger than 2" x 2".
Bar
Code and price (5%). Trace the pixelated bar code on the template
using the line tool.
Professionality
(20%). The card should look like something that people would actually
want to buy. The subject matter needs to be appropriate.
