Spanish Novice

This academically rigorous course covers both Novice I and Novice II in two trimesters. This accelerated course is designed for motivated language learners with strong language skills and background. This course is designed for students who read significantly above grade level in English. Emphasis is on communication skills; the core test is expanded to personalize instruction. Cultural supplements focus on the geography of Spanish-speaking countries and an introduction to Hispanic peoples and their family, religious and social customs. Daily homework is required. A minimum of B- is required to continue in Intermediate I Honors.
