Location
French is a large country in Europe. Five countries border France on the
East. They are Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.
The English Channel borders on the North. Spain and the Mediterranean
Sea border on the South. The Atlantic Ocean borders France on the West. |

People
French
people may not speak and look exactly alike. French families used to be
larger than they are now. French children go to school on Saturdays and
Sundays. No matter how old French people are, they love to read |

Climate
Much of
France’s land is rolling hills. The weather in France is the most mild
in Europe. There are four types of climates in France: Oceanic,
Continental, Mountain, and Mediterranean. The average temperature in
winter is 37 degrees. The average temperature in summer is 66.2 degrees |

Food
France is famous for its food. French people like to eat long, thin,
crusty loaves of bread called baguettes. Pores Helene is a simple dish
of pears with ice cream and chocolate syrup. It makes a good dessert.
France is also famous for its cheese. |

Interesting Places
There are some very interesting places in
France. People go to the Alps to sled. Paris is the capital of
France. Some famous places in France are the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de
Triomphe and Versailles. |
