Location
China is located in Asia. North of China is Russia and
Mongolia. South of China is Vietnam and Burma. East of China is Japan
and North Korea. West of China is India and Kurgistan. China is the
largest country in the world. Shanghai is the largest city in China. |

People
Chinese children don’t write the alphabet. Instead they write
signs. Chinese children go to nurseries or their grandparents’ houses. Chinese children go to
school when they are three years old. 1.2 billion people live in
China. They work in factories and mining. Farmers grow rice, wheat,
soybeans, tea, fruit and cotton. Chinese share the same home or
apartment.

Climate
In
China it floods a lot. The temperate varies. In the
north it’s cold in the south it’s warm. Some part in China have
bad flooding also typhoons hit southeast China in June though Sept. The
average snow day in Hong Kong it doesn’t snow at all. In the summer it
is 83 degrees F and above. In the winter it is 65 degrees and
below. The average temperature in spring is 88 degrees and below.

Food
People in China eat rice with every
meal. Some people live near the sea and eat lots of fish. Other
people in the city eat chicken, pork, duck. They chop their food so it
will cook faster. People eat vegetables with their meal. Rice is a
famous food in China. Chinese people use chopsticks instead of forks,
spoons and knives. Chinese people make noodles and bread out of wheat
flour. They eat peppers too. Chinese people eat soup at the end of
every meal.

Famous Places
In Beijing there is
Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square can hold 1 million people. There
painting of Chinese leader decorate pictures on the wall. The great wall
is 4,000 miles and 2,000 years old.
