Bookhive: Your Guide to Children's Literature and Books
BookHive is a web site designed for children ages birth through twelve, their parents, teachers or anyone interested in reading about children's books. Providing reader's advisory service, this site contains hundreds of recommended book reviews in a variety of reading levels and interest areas. Users can search for books by author, title, reading level, interest area, number of pages, and even favorite illustrator.
Carol Hurst's Children's Literature Site
This is a collection of reviews of great books for kids, ideas of ways to use them in the classroom and collections of books and activities about particular subjects, curriculum areas, themes and professional topics. Many of Carol Hurst's back articles and sections from her professional books for teachers and librarians have been reformatted and interlinked them to create an interactive collection of information.

Notable Children's Trade Books in the Field of Social Studies
The books that appear in this annotated book list were evaluated and selected by a Book Review Committee appointed by National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) and assembled in cooperation with the Children's Book Council (CBC). NCSS and CBC have cooperated on this annual bibliography since 1972. Books selected for this bibliography were published in 2003 and are written primarily for children in grades K-8.
